Four categories of essential systems to support every aspect of your operation

The MasterBase® Essential Systems are organized into the categories of Execute, Communicate, Control, and Safeguard, depending on the capabilities you need to incorporate to keep your operation running.
critical systems

An organization doesn't just need to automate tasks. It needs certain processes to be executed, communications to be delivered, visibility into what is happening, and important documents and records to remain available and intact.

MasterBase® organizes these needs into four categories of Essential Systems: Execute, Communicate, Control, and Safeguard. Each category addresses a different type of operational need and brings together specialized Essential Systems to meet it.

They all follow the same logic: to incorporate operational capacity through bots that continuously execute tasks and processes, applying skills, rules, and data based on the needs of each operation.

Run: keep the processes running

There are processes that simply have to take place. Approvals, recurring tasks, information processing, coordination between systems, and actions related to data and communications are all part of an organization's day-to-day operations.

The "Execute" category provides the capability to carry out these processes in a structured, repeatable, and continuous manner, without requiring a proportional increase in human effort.

  • Automation Studio Build: It allows you to build automata capable of executing processes by combining skills, rules, data, and integrations.
  • HR Plus: It transitions recurring human resources processes from manual management to structured execution using automation.
  • MB4 Email & Processes: It continuously executes data-driven processes, actions, and communications at scale.

The value lies not only in automating a task, but also in building the ongoing capacity to perform an operation.

Communicate: to ensure that every message is delivered

Many communications are not incidental but rather form part of the operation itself: a notification triggered by an event, a transactional message generated by a system, or a communication directed at a specific audience.

This category includes the ability to execute and maintain these communications in a timely manner, with follow-up and traceability.

  • Real-time Notifications: converts operational events into notifications that are triggered at the right time.
  • MB3 Email Marketing: It allows you to manage targeted, measurable, and scalable email marketing campaigns.
  • Relay: It processes transactional communications, one-to-one, from existing systems, via SMTP or API.

The question is no longer just «Can we send this message?» but rather «Can we sustain this communication as part of our operation?”

Control: knowing what's going on

Running processes isn't enough if you can't monitor and oversee them. Systems, identities, access, and data continuously generate signals that need to be turned into useful information to maintain control.

Controlar includes the ability to monitor operations, process events, and maintain continuous visibility and traceability.

  • Telemetry: Monitors systems using metrics, traces, logs, and events to maintain visibility into their behavior.
  • IAM Security Events: It monitors identities, access, and security events, and maintains a record of authorizations and activity.
  • Data Privacy Management: It manages operations related to data privacy and associated requests, and maintains control and traceability throughout their execution.

Monitoring means being able to understand what is happening, identify relevant situations, and have the evidence needed to oversee the operation.

Safeguard: preserve what you should keep

A transaction also generates documents, records, and evidence that must remain available, intact, and protected for as long as necessary.

Custodiar provides specialized capabilities to preserve that information with traceability, control, and retention policies.

  • FileBunker: It safeguards documents and ensures access control, traceability, and verifiable integrity.
  • LogBunker: It centralizes and preserves logs and operational records to provide a history and verifiable evidence.

It's not just about storing information. It's about being able to retain it and demonstrate what happened whenever an audit, an investigation, or the operation itself requires it.

Four capabilities, one operation

Execution, Communication, Control, and Oversight are not four separate worlds. Several of these capabilities may be involved in a single operation.

A process may need to run automatically, generate communications, produce events that must be monitored, and create logs that need to be retained. Each Essential System addresses a specific need, while the system as a whole allows the operation to be managed from different perspectives.

That's why the first step isn't to choose a product. It's to identify what you need to keep running.

  • Do you need to get processes up and running? Run.
  • Do you need to stay in touch? Communicate.
  • Do you need to observe and supervise? Monitor.
  • Do you need to preserve information and evidence? To safeguard.

From there, you can identify the Essential System that includes the capabilities your organization needs.
